“Redemption is a collaborative activity – cleansing, often purgative and occasionally harrowing. The psalmist was only reflecting the human condition we all share when he pleaded, ‘Out of the depths I have called to thee, O Lord; Lord, hear my voice’ (Psalm 130).  To his voice we join our own.”
